Clone Joystick Cobra Driver Windows 7

I just bought a Cobra V6 on sale for $99CAD, which appears to be a Chinese replica of the VKB Gladiator. But I'm worried about the quality. It feels nice, but I'm having an issue with the calibration. The center position appears to be in the top right corner. I can calibrate it fine. But it seems to make the motion towards the top right more jagged and jittery (since it has to stretch out raw values), and looks smoother towards the bottom left.

I also had to download an application to center the z-axis properly. It was way to one side, even with calibration. I don't really notice it in game though, but it's hard to tell. Is this normal? Is this a QC issue? Or is it just the way Windows handles these things? Update: Opened it up and the innards look almost the same as the Gladiator.

The only thing different is the PCB, which I'm assuming means a different controller (not the njoy32). So that means no VKB advanced software.

Also, according to a bit of research, the z-axis might have a downgraded sensor. On the software side of things, I was able to use the Ravcore Javelin software to calibrate the stick the proper way. The software for the Speedlink AIRROW also appeared to work. I was able to correct the issue in my OP.

I was also able to fix the huge deadzone on my z-axis. I cleared out the windows calibration. I didn't even need it. I used it all night yesterday, and it feels fantastic. I'm glad I got it. I got that Flashfire Cobra V6 from Memory Express a couple of months ago for around CAD170.

Doesn't come with any kind of drivers, firmware etc and on their website there's a piece of software that doesn't work. I ended up returning it to the store as I couldn't calibrate properly in Windows; I even tried VKB's software - doesn't work, as expected.

A few weeks after I got the original VKB Gladiator MK2 for the same price (the stick plus shipping plus import duties) which looks exactly the same on the outside but all the sensors and components are different. I did some digging and it seems like Flashfire was an investor when VKB started up their business and they still hold the rights for the moulds of the Gladiator series, same as Airrow in Germany and Javelin in Poland, but not on the sensors and electronics and software, so even if the joysticks look similar with the Gladiators they're far from the original.

Sorry for the bad news, I really hope you'll be able to return that thing. Update: Opened it up and the innards look almost the same as the Gladiator.
