Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

The RPS files that provide the default presets are in the renderpresets subfolder of 3ds Max folder. The renderer assignment has its own category on the Select Preset Categories dialog. We recommend you save your own presets in this subfolder as well. For example, if the current renderer is the Default Scanline Renderer, the Select Preset Categories dialog will have a category labeled Default Scanline Renderer. For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming.
